The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals
The UN’s goals for sustainable development consist of 17 concrete goals and are the most ambitious global agenda for development.
The UN’s 193 member countries have a common goal of protecting the world from climate change, making the world safer and better, and ensuring justice for all its citizens.
The goals confirm that social, economic and environmental development, peace, security, and international cooperation are closely related, and that reaching these goals require effort from all of us – large and small.
That is why we at DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE have made an active choice and made three of the goals a part of our guidelines, so that we always keep in mind the challenges that the world faces, and where we as a company can contribute to pushing the goals in the right direction.
At DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE we use sustainable and environmentally friendly resources in the development and production of all our products – from ingredients and production conditions to packaging and transport.
Goal 8 – Decent work and economic growth:
A responsible approach to running a business is very important to us, which is why we have actively decided to use Danish companies to produce our products.
By supporting these smaller businesses, we secure both apprenticeships and jobs in sectors of the industry and areas in Denmark which normally can be hard to find and preserve employment in.
DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE has chosen to collaborate with companies that give people with disabilities the opportunity to contribute to the community and have jobs on equal footing with people without disabilities.
Goal 10 – Reduced inequalities:
The amount of people in Denmark who experience discrimination is rising, and we would like to help stop that. At DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE we acknowledge that we are all different and that we have the right to be treated equally no matter our sexual orientation, gender, disability, body type, ethnicity, or age.
We contribute to the fight against inequality, and we advocate visibly and loudly for diversity among people. We dare reveal the imperfect as part of the perfect. Simply put, it is about showing respect for each other and our differences.
It is about in its simplicity about having respect for each other and each other’s diversity.
Furthermore, we use in DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE
Goal 15 – Life on land:
Every year our planet loses about 13 million hectares of forest, equal to about 36 football fields a minute. Every day – all year round. This means that about 1 million plant and animal species are in danger of going extinct.
At DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE we use a Danish FSC and Nordic Swan Ecolabelled printing house to produce our paper and cardboard materials, which all come from FSC certified forests.
In FSC certified forests, no more trees are being cut down than the forest can reproduce, so that both animal and plant life is protected as much as possible. At the same time, FSC ensures that the people working in the forests are trained and have proper equipment, working conditions, and fair wages.
