Sustainability
The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals
The UN’s goals for sustainable development consist of 17 concrete goals and are the most ambitious global agenda for development.
The UN’s 193 member countries have a common goal of protecting the world from climate change, making the world safer and better, and ensuring justice for all its citizens.
The goals confirm that social, economic and environmental development, peace, security, and international cooperation are closely related, and that reaching these goals require effort from all of us – large and small.
That is why we at DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE have made an active choice and made three of the goals a part of our guidelines, so that we always keep in mind the challenges that the world faces, and where we as a company can contribute to pushing the goals in the right direction.
At DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE we use sustainable and environmentally friendly resources in the development and production of all our products – from ingredients and production conditions to packaging and transport.
Decent work and economic growth
A responsible approach to running a business is really important to us, which is why we have actively decided to use European suppliers from Danish companies for our skin care, such as creams, soaps and serums. We like to select smaller, if not start-up, companies to work with. By supporting these small businesses, we ensure both apprenticeships and jobs in industries and areas of Denmark and abroad, which can normally be difficult to obtain and retain work in
Reduced inequalities
The number of people in Denmark and abroad who experience discrimination is only increasing, and we would like to help stop that. At DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE we recognize that we are all different and regardless of sexual orientation, gender, disability, body type, ethnicity and age, should be treated equally. Our contribution to the fight against inequality is by making visible and shouting loudly about diversity among people. We dare to show the imperfect as part of the perfect. It is, in its simplicity, about having respect for each other and each other's differences.
Life on land
Every year the planet loses 13 million hectare of forest, equivalent to 36 football pitches per minute. Every day - All year round - This means that approx. 1 million plant and animal species are in danger of extinction. At DÉBUT COPENHAGEN SKINCARE, we strive to use FSC and Swan-labelled printers for our paper and cardboard materials, which originate from FSC forests. In FSC forests, no more wood is felled than what the forest itself can reproduce, so that both animal and plant life are protected as best as possible. At the same time, training, safety equipment, proper working conditions and fair wages are ensured for the people who work in the FSC forests.
